The headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory recorded a critical water level in Sochi. On July 4, a downpour with a squally wind hit the city, because of it the rivers Khorota and Matsesta seriously overflowed their banks. The rain continues to this day.

According to the operational headquarters of the region, residents are asked to collect the necessary things in case of a possible evacuation.
- Due to prolonged heavy rainfall in the Adler and Khosta districts of Sochi, there is a critical rise in the level of the Khorota and Matsesta rivers, - the message says. - Included siren and speech installations to alert the population about possible flooding and the likelihood of rivers overflowing the banks. Residents are asked to remain calm, prepare documents and essentials if the situation forces them to start evacuating.
